Harvest at Jimmy’s Farm. 7/10.

In just its second year up and running, Harvest at Jimmy’s Farm welcomes 20,000 people over the course of two days. The festival, combining both food and music to an equal measure plays host to mainly families generating an acute ‘friendly festival’ vibe.

With just a few recognisable names to grace the ‘Village Green’ stage, (located central in the festival site) the music side of the festival is nothing to write home about, however the intimate lay out of the festival is what gives it its air of excitement, and that’s exactly Jimmy’s intentions as he previously stated, “we wanted to make the festival feel more like a village fete”. An aspect of this is the unusual set-up that flaunts some of the best chefs in the business. The ‘Farmhouse Kitchen’ is a stage that showcases live cookery on stage, along with this there are many more exciting attributes to this festival to wet your appetite including, ‘Jamie Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts’, Jimmy’s Farm Restaurant, and the monkey shoulder tree-house which delivers great cocktails throughout the day.

Food and music aside, there’s still an enormous amount of fun to be had for the kids. A whole area at the tail end of the Festival is dedicated to the little ones, which is what makes this festival suitable for all ages.

Take a look at our video round up to discover some of the wonders of the festival…
