Ice Black Birds are a four piece with a real vintage rock n roll spirit, whilst having a bluesy edge and hints of other elements that make them hard to put in a box. Already catching the attention of the likes of NME, they’re music is really tight and not too brash to put off your typical indie fan. In fact, elements in some of their songs could be compared to the likes of indie darlings Foals, whilst a closer comparison overall may be the more raunchy sounds of White Denim.
Hailing from Brighton, this four piece are currently playing dates alongside the likes of Johnny Borrell, We Are Scientists and ‘ones to watch’ Dog Is Dead, though Ice Black Birds could easily merit the same accolade. As a live act they’re described as energetic, which aptly suits the liveliness of some of their tracks and explains why they got KOKO dancing for Club NME last week, their biggest UK show to date.
