Cold Specks.

There’s certainly not a lot of information about Cold Specks at the moment. With a bit of investigating, you’ll find that it’s the moniker of 23 year-old Canadian born / London residing Al Spx, the sole cause of a classic flurry of hype across the internet.

Currently working on her debut album with PJ Harvey producer Rob Ellis, there’s one song knocking about on the net at the moment, and it’s a track well worthy of the hyperbole. ‘Holland’ is a beautiful and skeletal death-obsessed number held together by Spx’s wonderfully soulful voice, and it’ll probably be the most graceful song you hear all year. It’s dark as hell, but it’s brilliant. Listen below:
