Everyone’s going on about Liverpool five-piece Outfit, so it seems timely to bring your attention to them ourselves. Sounding and looking nothing much like anything else to have broken out of Liverpool since those four likely lads in the sixties, Outfit bring a style that warmly invites comparisons to Wild Beasts, courtesy of overcast atmospherics and superb lyricism. The band’s online presence is limited in a fashionably Wu Lyf kind of way, though they present their aesthetic intriguingly through their website, which also hosts four of their tracks. Among these is their latest and most Beasts-esque, ‘Two Islands’. It’s moody, dark, dense and brilliant.
